Bill Ritter walks 16th Street, Bob Beauprez campaign one of America's 10 worst

ColoradoPols points out that The Washington Post has named the Both Ways Bob Beauprez campaign one of America's 10 worst. But who wants to throw mud all day? Not me.
Instead, I spent my lunch hour walking the 16th Street Mall with Colorado's next governor, Bill Ritter, and his runningmate, Barbara O'Brien. The cheering crowd was bigger than it had been when Ritter had walked downtown on on August 7. More than one person eating lunch on the mall gaped when they saw the sea of blue shirts and waving signs.
But you could tell some of Ritter's volunteers are happy that the grueling campaign season is almost over. Senator Ken Salazar clapped his hands and exhorted everyone to keep up the energy for two more days. I also saw Democratic attorney general nominee Fern O'Brien rallying support.
Get out there and vote if you haven't already. But be careful. Dick Cheney will apparently spend Tuesday hunting. And you know how he is with a shotgun.

We all know how Bush hates to admit a mistake. Maybe he could solve the Rumsfeld problem by sending Rummie (and a couple six packs) off to join Cheney for a little hunting tomorrow.
