AP again overstates Bob Beauprez's popularity

What is the AP's fascination with Both Ways Bob Beauprez? On September 26, I wrote that the news agency was reporting the gubernatorial race was a tossup, despite Ritter's 16 point lead. Now Media Matters has caught the AP claiming Beauprez is gaining ground, despite Ritter's 22 point lead.

Is the AP trying to manufacture a story out of thin air? Or does it have a Republican bias? You make the call.
