CBI: Beauprez ad used info from NCIC database
From The Rocky Mountain News:
"The CBI has thoroughly reviewed and researched the law enforcement databases and determined that the information regarding Carlos Estrada Medina was obtained by accessing the NCIC," the CBI said in a statement. "Because this is a federally controlled and regulated system, CBI has requested the assistance of the FBI to further pursue the investigation."

The Post is reporting that an ICE agent is the target of the investigation. Beauprez' comments:
"Our source is involved in law enforcement. He blew the whistle; he exposed a horrible public policy. Now Bill Ritter wants to destroy this individual's career."
Un-f'ing believable! This ICE agent breaks a bunch of state and federal laws to provide confidential information to Beauprez and Beauprez whines about how Ritter wants to destroy the guy?
It's OK, Bob. Troy Eid will probably give him a plea bargain.
Beauprez continued:
"I'm not willing to throw people to the wolves just to gain a political advantage," the Republican congressman said in explaining why he continues to protect the source."
No, but you are willing to accept illegally obtained information and then broadcast it to millions to gain a political advantage. What a hypocrite!
