Rocky Mountain Wildlife Conservation Center to close

The Rocky Mountain News reports that 150 bears, tigers and lions are about to lose their home at a Colorado sanctuary. Please help if you can.

UPDATE: It has been a year since I wrote this post. And I'm happy to report that the sanctuary has been able to remain open, thanks to dedicated volunteers and generous donors. It's open from 9 to 4 daily, except for on holidays and in bad weather. It also keeps its doors open late on summer Fridays and Saturdays. Visit wildanimalsanctuary.org to learn more. Consider making a donation! Jessica Biel did.

Wow, I am speechless at the amazing story I saw on animal planet rescuing the black leopard since he was a cub. My name is Puya from Philadelphia. I am currently a student. The whole families are genuine and real dedicated to these animals. I am also an animal lover and would love to get involved in doing things. This show not only touched me but also inspired to push myself and takes action. I love the whole family you guys are a team and angles. I will make sure I do anything to help you organization when I am established to do so, till than I will pray that all keeps on working out for the RMWCC.

I also saw the Animal Planet program.I think the work you are doing out there to save & preserve these beautiful creatures deserves a HUGE,heartfelt "THANK YOU" from one animal lover to another. It is things such as this that help ensure the future of these animals for generations to come and that is so important in this day and age.Keep up the good work and God bless:)

Just finished watching about Eddie and have a huge lump in my throat. God Bless you for what you do. I was wondering if you received any of the big cats from the Siberian Tiger Foundation near Columbus, Ohio. I volunteered there for a while and have always wondered what happened to them. Look for a check from me. Sincerely, J Dixon

I've seen the Animal Planet special on Eddie. He was an adorable little guy who grew up to be a big, beautiful cat. What you do there is amazing, and I hope you don't have to close.

lot's of hope,

Marissa

hello my name is scott deweil I'm 18 years old and I'm going to college to become a zoologist/ wildlife rehab specialist. I've wanted to do this for a long time now. I watch animal planet around the clock seeing nearly all the old growing ups, like with eddie the black leopard. i hope that you will still be running when i get out of college because I was hoping with the permission of Pat Craig that i would be able to work their because I've that he specialized in big cats which is the reason that i Want to enter the field of raising and taking care of animals and feel even after my college learning that i could still learn alot from him. so I will do all I can to help you stay operational for the animals.
