I wouldn't get too excited about this one. Right now, whether or not pot becomes legal is hardly something that ought to be a major Dem priority, anyway. The Republicans would just love to have one more thing to get the right hysterical over. You know, like gay marriage leading to marrying goldfish. Fighting for the right to get high doesn't seem like much of a winner. We have enough on our plate as it is. Let it go.

This is not about fighting for the right to get high. If you knew me, you'd know that.
It's about taking a stand when a law enforcement agency tries to dictate the law to us. This is America. The voters make the laws. The DEA enforces them. That's the way it should work.
I understand. I didn't mean to say it was only a matter of the right to get high. That's simply how the right tries to spin it and a lot of folks see it. I just think that this doesn't qualify as a high (no pun intended) priority issue compared to a lot of other things at this point. We need to concentrate on our fire.
