f.sage said...: Recent canvassing shows that, this election year, it's time to stop writing off unaffiliated independent voters as Republican-lite. Those who consider CD6 a no-hoper need to know that it is NOT majority Republican. A third are unaffiliated who have mainly voted Republican in the past but that is by no means set in stone. Lots of indies are VERY fed up with the ultra-right that has taken over the Republican party and VERY open to an alternative to Tancredo. I've encountered many who have never heard of Bill who say things like "If he's running against Tancredo I'll vote for him." Once they hear that he has a military,teaching and coaching background, graduated from Littleton High and really understands health care coverage issues because of his own inability to find affordable coverage after donating a kidney to his sister-in-law, they REALLY like the alternative. Bill Winter can win here if we all work and contribute toward getting his name and message out there.; 7/24/2006 09:17:00 AM
