A. Yep, voted.
B. HR is about as likely to end the war as I am.

Pager, HR is a damn sight more likely to end the war than either of the other two CD-7 Democratic candidates. At least he's pledged to try to do something about it. At least he's pledged to work to end the war. And at least he has pledged to lead, instead of to follow, like another candidate for CD-7 has. Why even bother to vote Democratic if we're going to take such a defeatist attitude?

On the map changers aspect, I was glad to have marched with and voted for Bill Winter in the Highlands Ranch parade.

Last time I checked, Leftfielder, there were THREE Dem candidates in this race, not one, so I don't think we have to take the drastic measure of voting Republican (O'Donnell) just yet.

Why wouldn't I vote for HR? I'll tell you why--because single issue candidates do not appeal to me. I am against the war, have been from the start and am very interested in seeing it end. However, I am also interested in health care, which I don't have, renewable energy, better education for those that don't have money, and better representation in Congress than what I have right now.

Perlmutter has stated repeatedly that he supports the Murtha Plan. What part of, "I support the Murtha Plan," do you not yet get?

Making breathlyzers mandatory in every vehicle, cameras monitoring our children, and advocating for a consumption tax are perhaps some of the worst ideas I have ever heard from a candidate. Therefore, HR does not represent what I believe in and I thank God Almighty that there are more choices in this race than him.

Anonymous, if you were to take a look at Herb's website, you would see that he is anything but a single-issue candidate. But he is the only candidate in CD 7 with a leadership plan to get us out of Iraq. Yes, Perlmutter has pledged to follow (his word)Pennsylvania Congressman Murtha. Admittedly, Congressman Murtha is not a bad person to follow, but Herb has pledged to lead. I'd rather elect a leader than a follower.
You'll also see that Herb is the only candidate in the CD 7 Democratic Primary who has a specific, consumer-friendly energy plan that will get us off our "addiction to oil", to which the Administration has only paid lip service.
You may also notice that Herb is the only candidate in the CD 7 Democratic Primary who has pledged to work toward the goal of every American having affordable health care coverage by a date certain.
If you don't agree with his ideas, no one says you have to. Hell, I don't think there ought to be breathalyzers in every car either. But that's not an issue that's even close to important in this campaign. Herb Rubenstein is running to end the war in Iraq, to get the U.S. less dependent on foreign oil, and to ensure that all Americans have affordable health care coverage. To me, those are damn good ideas.

As far as pledging to end the war, I applaud him. Now, that said, how about being realistic? A FRESHMAN representative is NOT going to end the war. He will, if there is a God, be a part of a Democrat led consensus, come Nov. 8th. I'd like to see him and his supporters stressing something, hell, anything, that he stands for besides his position on Iraq. I know he isn't single-issue; unfortunately, he and his supporters seem to focus solely on that issue.

You're right--he has some good ideas. Problem is, he has some really bad ideas that his supporters keep pretending don't exist. And frankly, a consumption tax, which would punish the poor more than any other class in this country, says a whole lot about where he's coming from and where he'd like to go in the future. It's not a direction I'm interested in heading into, frankly.

You're correct. I don't have to agree with his ideas and I also don't have to support a candidate that is clearly not qualified to represent us in Congress.

Herb is definitely going to end the war in Iraq. He himself pledged to pull out troops by 2007 July otherwise he won't run for re-election. Now that's what I call a man of strong will and integrity. Way to go Herb!

Has anyone seen Herb's new ad from YouTube? You can directly see it on the homepage of his website, www.herbforcongress.com . I think that the message is very touching and I applaud his hard work and effort. Good luck Mr. Rubenstein.

Herb Rubenstein is by far the most qualified to represent us for countless reasons. I could go on and on about reasons to vote for Herb. Check out his website or even personally call him, you'll see why.
