Bill Winter on fire
Peggy Lamm's CD7 campaign has placed ads for her campaign video on several popular blogs. The video has drawn mostly positive comments at Coloradopols. One even mentions my cameo. Which means my 15 minutes of fame are still ticking away.
But I could only wish for the level of buzz that surrounds CD6 Democratic candidate Bill Winter. On Tuesday, Winter will be doing a fundraiser at Tortilla Coast in Washington DC. The guest list is rumored to include Russ Feingold, Ken Salazar, Dianna DeGette and Mark Udall. Who knows, maybe Tara Reid will show up. I hear she likes to party.
I briefly thought about starting a PAC that would collect donations to send me to DC. But all the good PAC names were already taken (Citizens for Integrity in Government, Integrity and Honesty in Elections, Voters for Honesty in Voting, Integrity for Citizen Voting and so forth). So maybe you ought to just donate directly to Bill instead.

Please donate to the Winter campaign. He and Joe Rice in HD 38, part of CD6, are winning over independents and Republicans all over my precinct, when they have an opportunity to meet them. They are both vets and that at least gets those who normally think of Dems as wimpy bleeding hearts to listen to them with a certain amount of respect. Once they do they are very impressed. But it takes big money for an unknown to beat an incumbent in a congressional race; even an incumbent like Tancredo who is a whack job and far to the right of most of his constituency. We need to support Bill so that he can get major media attention. Right now he's "Bill who?" and that needs to change! Please visit his site. There is a link right here on the this blog. Help make the dream of defeating Tancredo come true. Next time I'm asked to write my congressman it would be so nice not to feel that it's a total waste of time! If you live in CD6, House parties where your neighbors of any political affiliation can meet Bill Winter are great,too.
