HB1149 moves to a House vote

Representative Morgan Carroll's HB1149 has been voted out of committee. Which means the whole House gets to vote on it next. Read a PDF of the bill here. And then contact your legislators and let 'em know we're watching. Unless you think lobbyists are doing a swell job of running our government. In which case, feel free to go watch Oprah.

HB06-1149 has been amended a couple of times. To have the new version, without running around too much at the Capitol, read the cr1-4 of the bill. And the FN1-FN3. It passed bi-partisan, from Aprop, which is interesting because the repub you voted for it is one I would not expect too. The House 2nd reading should be a lot of fun. Hopefully, it won't be laid over.

Since Stengel is my Rep and I was one of the signers of the letter calling for an investigation of his extreme per diem spending, I doubt there is much point in my contacting him with any requests so I hope other HD38 folks will do so! I love to honor requests to contact my reps in the assembly, but between Stengel and State Senator Dyer, it's pretty much an exercise in futility. Go Joe Rice! And in 2008 Jared Ingwalson for state senate?
