Here's to the rest of the world

We try to keep the focus on Colorado politics. (With the odd detour to bash G. Dub and the Neocon Front.) But for many states, tomorrow is election day. And the parties are nervously watching a couple big races for governor.

In Virginia, Republicans have been caught making deceptive robo calls claiming to be from Democrat Tim Kaine. The group behind the calls has given $2,852,603 to Republican Jerry Kilgore this year, and none of its money to Democrats. (See the story at raisingkaine.com/1178.) Despite these dirty tricks, Rassmussen Reports latest poll shows Kaine leading 49% to 46%.

In the New Jersey race, "the final Rasmussen Reports poll of Election 2005, conducted on Sunday night, finds (Democrat) Senator Corzine with 44% of the vote and Republican) Forrester with 39%."
